Carpe (hereinafter the “Company”) values the privacy of its users and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. This policy explains how the MyFirstAI app and related services (the “Service”) handle personal information.
The Company collects and uses the following items.
| Category | Items | Method | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Device & usage data (required) | On-device anonymous identifier (a random ID generated by the app without sign-up), device model & OS version, app version, language/region settings, usage logs (access time, screen navigation, feature usage frequency), diagnostic/error information. Advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) are NOT collected (see Section 9). | Generated and collected automatically when the app runs (the Company’s own backend) | Maintaining service stability, diagnosing errors, analyzing usage statistics, improving features |
| Payment information (for in-app purchases) | Transaction identifier (order number), product name, payment amount, payment date/time, receipt information (issued by Apple App Store / Google Play) | Collected through the payment platform when the user makes an in-app purchase | Payment verification, delivery of subscriptions/items, refund and dispute handling, accounting and tax processing |
| AI feature usage information | Text and other inputs the user provides to the AI feature, and the AI response results. A child’s nickname and AI-friend name are replaced with a pseudonymous token before transmission; the actual values are never sent to the external AI. | Collected and transmitted when the user uses the AI feature | Generating AI responses and improving service quality. Not stored on the Company’s servers; transmitted to an external AI service provider, after which the response is received and the data is immediately discarded. |
Because the Service is provided without a sign-up process, the Company does not collect directly identifying information such as name, email, or phone number.
The Company does not provide users’ personal information to third parties beyond the scope stated in this policy, except in the following cases.
For smooth provision of the Service, the Company outsources personal information processing tasks as follows.
| Processor | Outsourced task | Items processed |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Inc. / Google LLC | In-app purchase processing, app distribution | Transaction identifier, receipt information |
| Supabase Inc. | Backend hosting, usage statistics storage, AI request proxy | Anonymous identifier, usage logs, diagnostic information, pseudonymized AI inputs/responses |
| Google LLC (Gemini), fal.ai, Pollinations.ai | AI response generation | Pseudonymized AI inputs (a child’s nickname and AI name are not sent as actual values) |
If a processor changes or the scope of outsourced work changes, the Company will provide notice through an amendment to this policy.
Some processors (e.g., Apple Inc., Google LLC, external AI service providers) are located overseas or operate overseas servers. In such cases, the Company outsources only to operators with secure transfer and processing procedures in accordance with applicable law. The items, purpose, country, timing, and method of transfer are described in the “4. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing” table above.
Users may exercise the following rights at any time.
These rights may also be exercised by contacting the email at the end of this policy, and the Company will act without delay. Because there is no sign-up, users are distinguished only by an anonymous identifier (ID); deleting server-side data requires providing that ID.
Personal information whose retention period has elapsed or whose processing purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay.
This app does not serve advertising and does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID). On Android, the advertising-ID (AD_ID) permission is blocked; on iOS, no tracking-related features are used. No behavior-based personalized ads are served.
This Service is designed primarily for children and complies with the Apple Kids Category and Google Play Designed for Families policies, as well as the U.S. COPPA and applicable Korean laws. For children, the following apply.
